Accessibility Needs Statement

We have put a lot of effort into ensuring the accessibility of ROCSFest, but we recognize that we have not covered everything. We welcome feedback and suggestions as we learn and improve.

  • The First Unitarian Universalist Church (Red Oak’s home) is accessible via COTA bus lines #2, #102 and #33, COTA Mainstream service, as well as from the Olentangy Bike Trail.

  • Parking, the building entrance and performance space are all wheelchair accessible. There are no stairs/steps to access the performance space. There is one sidewalk cut at the main entrance.

  • We will have an ASL interpreter. Microphones will be used to amplify sound.

  • A visually accessible version of the digital program will be provided.

  • Seating options in the performance space includes individual chairs without arms, and floor seating directly in front of the stage. There are marked spaces for wheelchair seating. The seating is easily adjustable to create as much accessible seating as needed.

  • There are two bathrooms- both have one accessible stall and while they are gendered, folks are welcome to use the bathroom that best fits their gender identity. There is one single stall bathroom available as well.

  • There is an adjacent viewing room that will be available for sensory-friendly viewing.

  • There will be two food truck(s) available at 12:30p - Taquitos and 614 Fully Loaded. There is also Olive & Lime and Chipotle right across the parking lot. We have tried to take allergies and dietary restrictions into account when choosing who to book for our event. Let us know if you will need assistance accessing food trucks or transporting food to your table. Outdoor seating includes picnic tables and a table with movable  chairs.

If you or your guest have an accessibility need that we have not addressed, please send us an email.
